About WhoFramed

The Game

WhoFramed is a free daily puzzle game for film lovers. Every day a new movie frame is published β€” a single image from a carefully selected film, chosen to challenge your knowledge of cinema from blockbusters to cult classics.

The format is simple: you have 6 attempts to identify the film. A wrong guess reveals the next frame and costs 1 point. Skipping a frame reveals the next one with no penalty. Guessing on the first frame earns the maximum 3 points. After finishing the puzzle, a bonus trivia question unlocks every day for an extra point.

Why Movie Frames?

A movie frame is a window into a director's vision β€” the composition, colour palette, lighting, and setting can all be clues. Unlike a title, tagline, or plot description, a single frame forces you to think visually about cinema.

We believe visual film literacy is an underappreciated skill. WhoFramed is designed to sharpen it, one frame at a time β€” whether you're a casual viewer or a devoted cinephile.
